This house was built by a local stone mason, using traditional craftsmanship and materials sourced from the surrounding area. Stone is the foundation of this property — thick walls, carefully placed, shaped by experience passed down through generations.
These walls are strong and enduring. They keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter, protecting those who live inside from harsh weather and extremes. The house was built to last for generations to come.
A Place That Has Endured
Over time, new generations found inspiration in the modern world, while this house remained steady and grounded. When I first visited, I felt immediately drawn to it. There was a quiet strength here — a sense of stability, protection, and possibility.
The house felt ready to be lived in again, cared for again, and allowed to grow into its next chapter.
A Living Project
This place holds great potential. It invites exploration of small-scale farming, gardening, and land care, supported by thoughtful use of modern knowledge, such as permaculture and sustainable practices.
The house and land are still evolving. There is much to be done: planting new fruit trees, roses, and wildflowers, creating spaces that encourage bees, birds, and wildlife to return and thrive.
A Shared Responsibility
The vision for this place is to support a balanced life for humans, animals, and the surrounding ecosystem. Sustainability here is practical and ongoing. It requires time, effort, observation, and care.
This is not an easy task. It is a long process. Yet with patience and consistent work, I believe it is possible to re-establish a delicate and lasting equilibrium between the house, the land, and all who live here.
Una Casa di Pietra e di Tempo

Questa casa è stata costruita da un maestro muratore locale, utilizzando tecniche tradizionali e materiali provenienti dal territorio circostante. La pietra è la base di questa proprietà — muri spessi, posati con cura, frutto di un sapere tramandato nel tempo.
Queste mura sono solide e durature. Mantengono la casa fresca d’estate e calda d’inverno, proteggendo chi vive all’interno dalle intemperie e dalle condizioni più estreme. È una casa costruita per durare nel tempo, per generazioni.
Un luogo che ha resistito al tempo
Con il passare degli anni, le nuove generazioni hanno trovato ispirazione nel mondo moderno, mentre questa casa è rimasta stabile e radicata. Quando l’ho visitata per la prima volta, mi ha chiamata subito. C’era una forza silenziosa, un senso di protezione e di possibilità.
La casa sembrava pronta per essere abitata di nuovo, curata di nuovo e accompagnata verso una nuova fase della sua vita.
Un Progetto Vivo
Questo luogo ha un grande potenziale. Invita a esplorare l’agricoltura su piccola scala, il giardinaggio e la cura della terra, integrando conoscenze moderne, come la permacultura, e pratiche sostenibili.
La casa e il terreno sono ancora in fase di evoluzione. C’è molto da fare: piantare nuovi alberi da frutto, rose e fiori spontanei, creare spazi che favoriscano il ritorno di api, uccelli e fauna selvatica.
Una Responsabilità Condivisa
La visione di questo luogo è quella di sostenere una vita equilibrata — per le persone, gli animali e l’ecosistema circostante. La sostenibilità qui è concreta e quotidiana. Richiede tempo, impegno, osservazione e cura.
Non è un compito semplice. È un processo lungo. Ma con pazienza e lavoro costante, credo sia possibile ristabilire un equilibrio delicato e duraturo tra la casa, la terra e tutte le forme di vita che la abitano.
